How we grade every used board.

Every used board we sell gets the same workshop once-over: rails, deck and bottom checked for creases, delamination, open dings and past repairs; fin boxes and stringer checked; volume and dims verified. Then it gets one of four honest grades — and we list every flaw in the description. No mystery boards, ever.

The four grades

As New

Ridden a handful of times or never. No repairs, no pressure dings worth mentioning. Basically a new board without the new-board price.

Excellent

Light use. Minor pressure dings on the deck, zero water damage, any tiny repairs done properly and noted. Heaps of life left.

Good

An honest used board. Visible pressure dings, possibly a well-repaired ding or two — all watertight, all disclosed with photos. Ride it, don't baby it.

Well-Loved

Character. Older or well-used boards with cosmetic wear and solid repairs. Watertight and ready to surf — perfect as a beater, a first hard-top, or a wall-hanger that still goes.
